Chateau on the Lake Resort Spa in Branson, Missouri
Rated Four Diamonds by the American Automobile Association, Branson’s Chateau on the Lake Resort Spa and Convention Center is one of the city’s finest lodging options. Resembling a castle and visible on the horizon from some parts of town, the Chateau is reminiscent of some of the great railroad hotels of yesteryear, lovely both inside and out, and is a favorite with guests who are seeking a full-service luxury resort experience.
The inside of the hotel boasts a magnificent 10-story atrium surrounded by 301 guest rooms in a variety of configurations. Patrons of the Chateau on the Lake may choose from standard, traditional, deluxe, or oversized king guest rooms or opt for one of the 57 suites at the hotel. Some of the rooms have views of the Ozark Mountains while others allow a look at nearby Table Rock Lake. Standard rooms sit on the lower floors and are nicely appointed with French Country furnishings and one king or two double beds. Traditional rooms at the Chateau include the same amenities as a standard room but with a view. A deluxe guest room is larger with similar sleeping accommodations and a view of pretty Table Rock Lake. The Chateau King rooms feature a separate sitting area with sofa and chair and most include a balcony with a view as well. Mountain View suites are larger still and include a separate sitting area, two televisions, and a wet bar, microwave, and refrigerator. The Ambassador Suite Lake View is similar but with a different view. Vice Presidential Suites, with nearly 900 square feet of living space, include private living and sleeping areas, a king four-poster bed, a kitchen with full size appliances, a balcony, and Jacuzzi tub. The hotel’s two Presidential Suites boast 1,000 square feet of space, a two-person Jacuzzi shower, and all the amenities of the VP Suites.
Other onsite resort amenities include high speed wireless internet in guest rooms as well as in various other parts of the building, gourmet coffee in room, laundry facilities, free parking, telescopes for scenery viewing, unlimited use of canoes and paddleboats on Table Rock Lake (in season), tennis courts, and a large fitness center with lake view. A lovely outdoor pool is open in season and is staffed by pool attendants that offer cold water and cool towels. An indoor pool and hot tub are open year round. There’s also a sauna that can be used for a small fee.
Chateau on the Lake also has its own marina that accommodates 70 vessels. At the marina, guests can rent a variety of watercraft including ski, pontoon, and fishing boats; wave runners; catamarans; and more.
The Spa at Chateau on the Lake is full service with 10 treatment rooms and a large menu of traditional and cutting-edge spa services. Spa guests can also enjoy an outdoor Roman bath, yoga classes, and a “Barber Spa” that offers haircuts, manicures, pedicures, and other standard salon services.
There are several restaurants located onsite at this luxury hotel, including the Chateau Grille, which has received awards from Wine Spectator magazine for its extensive wine list. The Grille is open for all three meals and boasts an exciting and varied menu. Sunday Brunch is also served here. In addition, guests can visit the 9th Street Italian Deli, which serves sandwiches, salads, pizza, and other lighter fare. The deli will pack meals for an outdoor picnic. There’s also a bakery/ice cream parlor on the premises and a casual café and wine bar that serves all three meals as well as alcoholic beverages.
The Chateau on the Lake Resort Spa and Convention Center also boasts more than 43,000 square feet of meeting space including a 32,000 square foot banquet hall, 19 meeting rooms, 3 boardrooms, and a 54-seat theater. Banquet and catering services are available throughout the convention area and audio/visual equipment can be rented as needed. The hotel is also appropriate for weddings and provides a number of different spaces for a ceremony or reception, including both indoor and outdoor locations.
