Tribesman Resort in Branson, Missouri
Situated along the banks of Table Rock Lake, the Tribesman Resort is a year-round lodging option for anyone visiting the Branson area. Just 15 minutes from the city’s famous Strip and all the attractions it offers, the resort sits on a peninsula known as Indian Point, which is also home to the Silver Dollar City amusement park.
The Tribesman Resort boasts a huge variety of accommodations, including some that are suitable for those traveling with a large party. The Swiss Houses on the Cove are cottages that sit in a semi-forested setting and include 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. These include living areas and fully equipped kitchens as well. The Timber Ridge section of the resort allows visitors to choose from apartments with 1, 2, or 3 bedrooms and 1 or 2 baths. Situated in a sloped grass and tree setting, these apartments enjoy the use of an indoor pool and one of three outdoor hot tubs on the premises.
Timber Glen cottages are outfitted with a large living space, a separate reading room, 3 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms. There’s an indoor pool nearby as well as a kid's playground. The Osage Apartments include 1 bedroom/1 bath units as well as some of the resort’s largest accommodations – apartments that include 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The 1 bedroom units have full or mini kitchens while the larger ones are always equipped with full kitchens. Additionally, there are more large 4- and 5-bedroom units in the Timber Trace area, which has its own pool with a sloped beach-like section and a set of water canons. The newest area in the resort, Timber Oaks, contains 4 bedroom/4 bath cottages, with each bedroom having their own private bath. In addition, these cottages have not only a full kitchen but also a fireplace, patio and balcony, in-unit washer and dryer, and access to a new landscaped pool and inground hot tub. Those looking for something in a more dense setting can opt for Timber Tops, which is situated in a heavily forested area. These 2- and 4-bedroom cottages sit at the head of the resort’s main nature trail.
Amenities at Tribesman Resort include a total of five pools (one indoor), 3 hot tubs, and 2 marinas offering boat rentals. There’s also a game room, a toddler toy room, more than 2 miles of nature trails, and an outdoor pavilion with a barbecue and bonfire area. Free coffee is offered in the main office from late spring through the fall season.
Activities abound at Tribesman Resort and it’s possible to stay busy there all day without ever leaving the premises. During the summer months, the resort sponsors fishing tournaments, picnics, ice cream socials, scavenger hunts, and Sunday Cakes and Coffee days. The staff also offers to teach young guests how to fish. The nature trails offer the chance to view and abundance of wildlife and kids can sign up to be “Trail Rangers” at the main office. Different activities are available other times of the year, including Christmas, when the resort decorates in celebration of the holidays.
Though the Tribesman Resort is huge, it’s very popular and welcomes the same individuals and families back year after year, so reservations are suggested, especially if you’re visiting Branson during the popular vacation months of June, July, and August.
