Vacation Rentals in Branson, Missouri
While Branson is full of hotels, motels, and campgrounds, those who enjoy vacations with a little bit more privacy or are traveling with friends or extended family often choose a vacation rental while visiting this unique Midwest destination.
Some vacationers do indeed prefer what a hotel has to offer, including daily maid service, restaurants, and a variety of amenities such as pools, hot tubs, game rooms, and numerous other perks. Others, however, clearly see the advantages that a vacation rental provides for them and, often, the cost can be substantially less than booking a hotel room for several nights or more.
Those traveling with a family who don’t like the lack of privacy that an en-suite hotel room offers often prefer a rental that includes separate bedrooms – one or two for the kids and a master bathroom for the parents. Sometimes, a vacation rental with two bedrooms or more also includes multiple bathrooms, eliminating the need to share with the kids.
Large families or a group of friends traveling to Branson together can also benefit by leasing a vacation rental, which allows the group to enjoy the closeness of vacationing together while still providing them separate spaces for everyone to grab a little alone time.
The other advantage most often noted by travelers who rent homes during their vacation is the presence of a full or partial kitchen. This amenity helps eliminate the need to eat every meal in a restaurant. Restaurant meals can be one of the most expensive parts of a vacation, so if a member of the party is willing to prepare some meals while on vacation, a house or condo with a kitchen can be a real money saver. Even the ability to keep cereal, milk, and other small items on hand can result in a significant reduction in vacation costs as the average breakfast for four eaten at a restaurant averages between $20 and $30.
Fortunately, vacation rentals in Branson are abundant and include a wide variety of options. Condos are quite popular and can be found along one of Branson’s many golf courses or may be situated in a development overlooking Table Rock Lake or in a wooded setting in the hills. Most of the condos found here range from 1 to 3 bedrooms and are in complexes that include some of the same amenities as a hotel or resort, such as pools and hot tubs, clubhouses, game rooms, marinas, and a variety of outdoor activities.
Cabin rentals are also quite popular in the Branson area. There are several gated cabin resorts in the region, both in the heart of town, on the outskirts, or near one of the lakes. As with the condo developments, cabin resorts often times offer a plethora of amenities as well, including pool, tennis courts, fitness centers, picnic areas with grills, and much more.
Another option for a Branson vacation rental is to lease a single home that isn’t part of any particular development. These are indeed available and often contain 4 or more bedrooms and multiple baths, making them ideal for large groups vacationing together. Single homes may lack the amenities of a condo or cabin resort, but it is possible to find one with a pool or hot tub, for example. Some are in town and others are quite secluded and might include a mountain or water view and several acres of land.
Overall, vacation rental prices in Branson are quite reasonable when compared with other popular vacation destinations across the country. But just like the hotels here, prime rentals disappear quickly during the high season, so it’s necessary to plan in advance.
