Welk Resorts in Branson, Missouri
The Welk Resorts Branson is a destination hotel that offers more than just lodging. Founded by the famous Lawrence Welk family of entertainment fame, the resort includes lovely rooms, an attractive restaurant, an indoor/outdoor water park, and live theater, all under one roof. It is one of three Welk resorts in the country, the other two located in San Diego and Palm Springs, California.
There are actually two lodging options at Welk Resorts Branson. Visitors may opt to stay in the hotel, which includes 160 non-smoking guest rooms. These nicely-furnished rooms include such standard amenities as luxury bedding, iron and ironing board, coffee and tea makers, hair dryer, data ports, free WiFi internet access, and flat screen televisions with cable channels.
The larger Lodges at Welk Resorts Branson offer deluxe and luxury rooms. The deluxe room measures more than 800 square feet and includes log beams in the living room and dining room, a stone gas fireplace, and many other amenities. Living areas feature a sleeper sofa, large flat-screen hi-definition TV, dining table, DVD players with Bose sound, kitchens with Italian granite countertops and full-size appliances, dishes and cookware, washer and dryer, and more. The bedroom has a Jacuzzi tub located beside the fireplace for a romantic setting and a shower with a rainfall showerhead. The luxury room is slightly smaller and includes a mini kitchen with 2 burner range and refrigerator, a washer and dryer, a shower and Jacuzzi tub, and a patio.
Many guests head to the Welk Resort to enjoy the live entertainment offered there nearly every day of the week in their 2,300-seat auditorium. Shows change about every 6 to 8 weeks and include well-known names in entertainment including a number of stars who were popular on the old Lawrence Welk Show, which aired on television for more than two decades and still continues in syndication.
Dining at the Welk Resort in Branson includes the Stage Door Restaurant, which serves all three meals each day. The restaurant offers both menu items and enormous buffet dinners and will also pack box lunches for those who prefer to eat on the go and take their meal with them. In season, meals are also available on the patio or poolside. The resort also boasts Branson’s only smoke-free lounge, which serves cocktails, wine, specialty beers, and a variety of non-alcoholic beverages as well as snacks and light fare.
The Welk Resorts’ newest addition is Splash-a-Torium, an indoor and outdoor water play area that is sure to thrill visitors of all ages. At more than 10,000 square feet in size, this water attraction is open year round and includes a large indoor/outdoor pool, a 100-foot indoor water slide, and an indoor/outdoor Splash Zone that’s full of fountains, water guns, and other things that keep visitors wet. There’s also a large hot tub and plenty of locker rooms for changing.
For those heading to Branson on business, the Welk
Resorts offers meeting rooms, banquet space, and hospitality rooms, and the
Welk Theater may be rented during times when no shows are scheduled.

small.
